ABOUT HAMIRPUR

Hamirpur Telecom District is one of the major Telephone District (SSA) of H.P.Telecom Circle. Hamirpur includes three Revenue Districts:- Una, Bilaspur & Hamirpur Districts. Hamirpur Telecom includes 134 Telephone Exchanges.

These exchanges have an equipped capacity of 95696 lines, out of which 76423 lines are connected to our valued customers for providing basic Telephone services, Fax, ISDN and Internet.

Hamirpur is directly connected to Shimla, Dharamshala, Solan, Mandi, Jallandar & Kullu. The SSA is responsible for maintenance of telephone exchanges located in Hamirpur LDCA which includes Una, Bliaspur & Hamirpur District.

All the Exchanges are state of art, Digital Electronic Exchanges of C-DOT technology. Hamirpur Telecom has 3.5K CDOT MBM-XL Trunk Automatic Exchange (TAX). TAX at Hamirpur has direct connectivity to Shimla, Dharamshala, Solan, Mandi, Jallandar & Kullu major TAX; in India through Digital Transmission Media and also to all Secondary Switching Area of Himachal Pradesh.

Hamirpur Telecom also provides Electronic mail and access to World Wide Web (www) through Internet exchange and Non Exchange lines for data and speech to all over the country. These all services are provided and maintained by highly qualified, well trained and fully motivated manpower of about 800 members of the organisation headed by
General Manager Telecom Shri Sunil Sharma.
